Halloween at Disneyland Paris: What to Expect and Why We Loved It
If you’re anything like me, the idea of booking a trip to Disneyland Paris crosses your mind at least once a month.
Halloween at Disneyland Paris is one of my absolute favourite times to visit.
From 1 October to 3 November 2025, the parks go all out. Picture pumpkins on every corner, Disney Villains taking centre stage, and Halloween snacks that are almost (…almost) too cute to eat. It’s spooky but still family-friendly, with plenty of that Disney magic we all love.
It’s such a fun time to be in the parks, so if you’re considering an autumn visit, here’s exactly what you can expect and how to make the most of it.

Halloween At Disneyland Paris: What to Expect
Here’s everything you need to know about what happens in the parks between 1 October and 3 November 2025—so you can time your visit, dodge the crowds, and catch all the best bits.
How Busy Does It Get During Halloween at Disneyland Paris?
You can see why this is one of the best times to visit Disneyland Paris. The atmosphere is unbeatable. But unfortunately, that also makes it one of the busiest times too.
Weekends and French school holidays (especially the Toussaint break in late October) are the most crowded. Halloween day itself is especially popular.
If you’ve got any flexibility, go for a weekday earlier in October to enjoy all the spooky fun without the shoulder-to-shoulder crowds.

Top tip: If Crush’s Coaster ever drops below 45 minutes, jump in that queue. It doesn’t get much better than that unless you purchase a Premier Access pass.
Costumes, Rules, and Extra Opening Hours
On October 31st, guests of all ages are allowed to wear Halloween costumes at Disneyland Paris. It’s such a fun way to join in with the celebrations.
There are a few rules to be aware of. Costumes can’t drag on the ground, cover your face, or include props that look like weapons.
Masks are only allowed for children under 12, unless worn for medical reasons.
You also can’t pose for photos or sign autographs as characters, even if you look exactly like Elsa. That one’s reserved for the cast members.
If you want to get in the spirit without going full costume, Disneybounding on a budget is a fun option. It’s usually more comfortable too, especially for a full day in the parks.

Halloween night usually means extended opening hours. Disneyland Park stays open until 11 PM (Walt Disney Studios is usually 1 hour before this), giving you extra time to soak up the spooky atmosphere.
What Disneyland Paris Looks Like at Halloween
The decorations at Disneyland Paris during Halloween are one of my favourite things about visiting this time of year.
There are pumpkins everywhere, orange lights strung up around the parks, and loads of little autumn details to spot if you slow down and look for them.
Even the skeletons are more cute than creepy, so don’t worry about it being too scary for children!
You’ll definitely want your phone charged at all times—there’s something photo-worthy around every corner. I always end up with way more pictures than I planned.
Halloween Characters at Disneyland Paris
Halloween at Disneyland Paris is when the Villains come out to play. Maleficent, Captain Hook, Cruella de Vil—you’ll see them roaming the parks, causing chaos in the best possible way.
You’ll still find Mickey and friends around too, all dressed up in their Halloween outfits. These are some of the best meet-and-greet photo ops of the season.
Some character encounters now use the virtual queue system in the Disneyland Paris app, so it’s worth checking regularly if there’s someone you’re keen to meet.
That said, our favourite ones have often happened by chance whilst we were walking around, so keep your autograph book handy…you never know when a villain might appear out of the shadows

Halloween Parades and Events
Halloween entertainment at Disneyland Paris is all about cheeky fun and a touch of mischief.
Keep an eye out as the Mischief Makers and Villainous Masters play tricks and stir up trouble around Disneyland Park.
There’s also the colourful Halloween cavalcade and a spectacular nighttime show featuring Disney Villains—both bringing a bit of drama and sparkle to the season.
Top tip: If you’re visiting for more than one day, catch the parade on your first day. On day two, head for the rides while everyone else lines the route. We walked straight onto Avengers Flight Force with a five-minute wait during the parade.
Rides and Attractions Perfect for Halloween
Some rides just hit differently during Halloween. The atmosphere is a bit darker, the queues feel spookier, and everything fits the Halloween mood perfectly.
These are the ones we always make time for in October:
- Tower of Terror – one of the best and fastest rides at Disneyland Paris
- Phantom Manor
- Les Voyages de Pinocchio – Another unexpectedly spooky dark ride.
- Pirates of the Caribbean
- Pirate Galleon & Pirate Cove – A great area for letting off steam (and spotting a few eerie details).
- Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs – Feels surprisingly dark in parts (watch out for the Queen).
- La Tanière du Dragon – A hidden dragon sleeping under the castle

Halloween Snacks At Disneyland Paris
Halloween at Disneyland Paris isn’t just about decorations and parades. It’s a great time to snack.
You’ll find seasonal treats around the parks like the Maleficent Sundae, Wicked Whip cone, and Mickey Mummy Lollipops. Some are adorable, some are a bit over the top, and most are basically just sugar in a Halloween costume. But that’s part of the fun.
If you’re after something a little more grown-up, there are themed drinks too. Look out for the Little Devil Cocktail and the Oogie Boogie mocktail in the bars and restaurants.
The classic Disneyland Paris snacks are still around as well. Mickey-shaped food is always a good idea.
Hidden Halloween Gems at Disneyland Paris
It’s not just about the parades and pumpkins. Some of the best Halloween magic at Disneyland Paris is in the smaller touches that are easy to miss if you’re rushing between rides.
Themed Photo Spots
There are often extra photo setups hidden in quieter corners of the park, especially near Phantom Manor or around the Studios. These aren’t your usual pumpkin piles either—they’re properly themed and perfect for a quick snap to put in your memory book.
Halloween Popcorn Buckets
These sell out fast for a reason. They’re themed, surprisingly detailed, and make a fun souvenir if you can get your hands on one. Check the snack carts, and grab one early if you spot it.
Decorated Shop Windows
Take a minute to slow down on Main Street. The window displays are fully dressed for Halloween, and it’s a great way to soak up the atmosphere without queueing for anything.
A Quiet Stroll Around the Hotels
If you need a break from the crowds, taking a walk around the Disneyland Paris hotels is such a good reset. They get into the Halloween spirit too, with seasonal decorations and little themed touches dotted around.

Disneyland Paris during Halloween is magical, but it can be a bit of a whirlwind if you’re not prepared. Here’s how to tackle the spooky season like a seasoned pro:
- Download the app: The Disneyland Paris app is your best friend. Check wait times, book meals, join virtual queues, and find snack spots without walking in circles.
- Get there for rope drop: Be at the gates before opening and head straight for the big hitters like Tower of Terror or Crush’s Coaster. You’ll tick off a lot before the crowds catch up.

- Wear something comfy: October weather is unpredictable. Bring layers, waterproofs, and shoes you can walk in all day. Bonus points for a Halloween jumper that’s both festive and warm.
- Book meals in advance: If you fancy a sit-down meal at places like Captain Jack’s or PYM Kitchen, book in advance and consider if a meal plan is worth it for you. Nobody wants to queue for food when they’re hangry.
Final Thoughts: Is Halloween at Disneyland Paris Worth It?
Yes. 100 percent yes.
The decorations are brilliant, the characters are even better, and the whole park just has that extra bit of magic. It’s busy, but not impossible—and with a bit of planning (and maybe a snack in your pocket), it’s honestly one of the best times to go.
The weather’s usually pretty decent, everything looks amazing, and it all just feels that little bit more special.
If you’re thinking about it, I’d say book it. You won’t regret it.
