The Best Time to Visit Disneyland Paris 2025/26
So, when is the best time to visit Disneyland Paris? That really comes down to who you’re travelling with—and how much queueing you’re prepared to tolerate.
Over the years, Callum and I have tried every season. We’ve frozen in January, sweated our way through August, and watched Halloween decorations slowly take over Main Street. Each season’s got its perks, but also its drawbacks (mainly crowds and weather… always the crowds and weather).
In this guide, I’ll break down when to visit based on what kind of trip you’re planning. Short queues? Festive vibes? Cooler weather? There’s a time of year that’ll suit you better—let’s figure it out.

📌 Short on time?
Here’s my quick answer to the best time to visit Disneyland Paris:
🏷️ Cheapest months: Mid-January to mid-February
🎃 Best for seasonal events: October for Halloween, December for Christmas
🎢 Best for short queues: January, February, mid-March
☀️ Best weather: June and early July (avoid heatwaves where possible)
🧸 Best for little ones: September or early March (quieter parks, cooler weather)
Want fewer crowds? Pick midweek dates outside school holidays, whatever the season.
🌸 Spring (March – May):
A Good All-Rounder (If You Time It Right)
✔️ Pros: Mild weather, seasonal events, park decorations, manageable queues (late March/early May)
❌ Cons: April is peak holiday season with long queues, weather still hit-and-miss in March
⭐ Best for: Families avoiding school holidays, couples, and anyone who likes milder weather without massive crowds
Spring can work well for Disneyland Paris—as long as you dodge the school holidays
We’ve visited in both March and May. March meant jackets but fairly short queues. May looked lovely with all the flowers out, but the queues were noticeably worse—especially around weekends and half-term.

You’ll usually find a seasonal event running in spring. This year it was the Disney Music Festival, which runs April-September. Next year, it’ll likely be something new, starting around mid-April and running into summer.
More specifically for next year is the opening of Frozen Land. Rumoured to open in April or May 2026, and when it does, expect a sharp rise in both crowds and prices.

Disney’s dynamic pricing means that as soon as the opening date is confirmed, ticket and hotel prices will climb—along with the queue times.
If you’re not fussed about seeing Frozen Land straight away, my advice? Book for March 2026 and skip the chaos.
☀️ Summer (June – August): Busy, Hot, and Full-On Fun
✔️ Pros: Longer park hours, entertainment in full swing, parks look stunning in summer
❌ Cons: Prices rise, crowds build fast after early July, heatwaves can disrupt shows and rides, exhausting long days
⭐ Best for: Couples without kids (early June/early July weekdays), visitors with 3+ park days to allow for breaks
Summer at Disneyland Paris means sunshine, long opening hours, and a full entertainment schedule. But expect bigger crowds and the chance of serious heat.
When we visited in June, we had one boiling day, a thunderstorm overnight, and then perfect park weather the next. The real heatwave hit in early July, when shows were cancelled, rides closed, and people were queueing for water fountains. It’s not guaranteed every year, but something to be aware of.

Even with the heat, we managed everything we wanted over two days, without Premier Access or Priority Passes.
But we spent 28 hours in the parks and walked 60,000 steps. The long opening hours help, but it’s a lot—especially for little ones.
If you’re visiting in summer, I’d recommend booking a Disney hotel with a pool. Being nearby makes it easier to take breaks and cool off.
For lower crowds, aim for midweek in early June or early July. Last year, we did a one day at Disneyland Paris (a Friday in early July), and it was surprisingly quiet.

Once French schools finish on 5th July, though, crowds build quickly. Then UK schools break up from late July, and August stays busy throughout. Prices rise as families avoid school fines.
Also worth noting: 14th July (Bastille Day) is one of the busiest days of the year. If you can, avoid visiting on that date—the parks will be absolutely packed to a point it isn’t enjoyable.throughout. Prices rise as families avoid school fines.
🍂 Autumn (September – November): Quieter Days and Halloween Fun
✔️ Pros: Mild weather, lower prices in September, great character meets, fantastic Halloween theming from mid-October
❌ Cons: Minimal decorations in September, increased ride closures for refurbishments, October school holidays bring back crowds
⭐ Best for: Couples, families with younger children, and anyone looking for a quieter, more affordable park trip
September is one of the quietest times to visit Disneyland Paris. With kids back at school, crowds drop and prices do too. If you’re looking to book, we have a full how to book Disneyland Paris guide to help you find the best deals.

The weather stays mild. You’ll avoid the summer heat but won’t need winter layers, so it’s a comfortable time to explore. Decorations are minimal in September, but character meets are usually more frequent to make up for it.
This is also when ride refurbishments are more common. Disney often closes attractions for maintenance before the Christmas season, so it’s worth checking the refurbishment schedule before you go.
From mid-October, crowds return as UK and French school holidays begin and Halloween takes over.

Prices rise, but the theming is brilliant, with pumpkins along Main Street, spooky treats, and extra entertainment. Adults are even allowed to dress up on Halloween itself- though you can Disney-Bound all year round!
Once Halloween ends on 31st October, the parks quieten down again until mid-November, when Christmas decorations start appearing.
❄️ Winter (December – February): Christmas Crowds, Then Quiet Parks
✔️ Pros: Gorgeous Christmas decorations in December, short queues and low prices from mid-January onwards
❌ Cons: December is busy and expensive, cold weather in January and February, shorter park hours, some rides will remain closed
⭐ Best for: Bargain hunters, couples, and anyone who prioritises low crowds over warm weather
December is as busy and expensive as you’d expect. Between Christmas and New Year, the parks are packed and prices are some of the highest of the year. That said, the festive decorations are incredible, so if you’re happy to pay for the experience, it’s a pretty magical time to visit.

But once January hits, everything changes.
Mid-January through to February is actually my favourite time to visit. The parks are quiet, prices drop, and queues are almost non-existent. It’s cold, so you’ll need warm layers and gloves, but I’d take chilly weather over hour-long waits any day.
This is also when ride refurbishments tend to continue. Disney uses the quieter winter months for longer maintenance projects, so it’s worth checking which attractions will be closed before you go.

To give you an idea: we’ve paid £386 each for next January, including flights, hotel, magical shuttle transfers, and four-day park tickets. It’s easily the cheapest trip we’ve ever booked, and I will always stand my ground that booking in Winter is the best way to do Disneyland Paris on a budget!

🎉 Final Thoughts: When Should You Visit Disneyland Paris?
There’s no single “best time” to visit Disneyland Paris—it really depends on what you’re looking for. We’ve braved the heat in summer, bundled up in winter, and dodged school holiday crowds more times than I can count. Every season has its perks… and its downsides.
For fewer crowds and cheaper prices, winter wins every time. If you’re all about seasonal events, Halloween and Christmas bring the best atmosphere. And for classic park days with milder weather, early spring or early autumn are your safest bet.
