How To Get From Charles De Gaulle Airport To Disneyland Paris
Last updated August 2026
Getting from Charles de Gaulle Airport to Disneyland Paris is something I’ve now done just about every way possible.
I’ve taken the TGV, used the Magical Shuttle, booked a private transfer, caught the RER through Paris and ordered a Bolt from outside the terminal.
And after trying all five, the option I’d choose really depends on the trip.
The TGV takes around 10 minutes once you’re on the train, which is hard to beat, but long passport control queues can make booking a specific train after your flight a bit of a gamble. The RER can save you money, but you’ve got a much longer journey and a change in central Paris.
Then there are the direct options, which cost more but can make life much easier when you’re travelling with children or lots of luggage.
In this guide, I’ll take you through all five ways to get from Charles de Gaulle Airport to Disneyland Paris, including how much they cost, how long they take and my experience using each one.

⏱️ Short on Time?
Charles de Gaulle Airport is around 35 km (22 miles) from Disneyland Paris, and there are five main ways to make the journey.
| If you want… | I’d Choose… | Why? |
| The easiest journey to a Disney Hotel | Magical Shuttle | Flexible, your luggage goes underneath, and you’re dropped directly at your hotel |
| The fastest journey | TGV | Around 10 minutes from CDG to Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy once you’re on the train |
| The cheapest option | RER | Usually the lowest-cost option, but you’ll travel through central Paris and change trains |
| Private door-to-door transport | Private Transfer | You’re collected at the airport and taken straight to your hotel |
| Flexibility after landing | Uber/Bolt | You can wait until you’re through passport control and have your luggage before booking then be taken wherever you like |
If you’re travelling with children and staying at a Disney Hotel, the Magical Shuttle would be my pick. It’s simple, you don’t have to drag luggage through train stations, and there’s no worrying about getting through passport control in time for a pre-booked TGV.
But don’t immediately rule out the RER. Callum and I sometimes use the journey as an excuse to head into central Paris first.
If you’ve got time before you need to be at Disneyland Paris, you can stop off in the city rather than heading straight to Disney. I’ll explain how we do this further down.
How To Get From Charles De Gaulle Airport To Disneyland Paris
There are five main ways to get from Charles de Gaulle Airport to Disneyland Paris: TGV, Magical Shuttle, private transfer, Uber/Bolt or the RER.
I’ve used all five, and there are situations where I’d choose each of them. Below, I’ll take you through what the journey is actually like, current costs and timings, and anything I’d want to know before booking.
🚗 What about hiring a car?
You can hire a car at Charles de Gaulle and drive to Disneyland Paris, but I wouldn’t rent one just for the airport transfer.
Parking at Disneyland Paris currently costs €30 per day, so once you’ve added the cost of the rental and parking, it rarely makes sense compared with the other options above. If you’re staying at a Disney Hotel, parking at your hotel is included, so this may change the maths slightly.
If Disneyland Paris is part of a longer French road trip, though, hiring a car from CDG can be much more useful.
🚗 Private Transfers
⏱ Journey Time: 45–60 minutes
💰 Cost: €80 (up to 4 people) – ➡️ Book Here
🎯 Best For: Families, groups, or anyone who wants a stress-free door-to-door trip
A private transfer is one of the easiest ways to get from Charles de Gaulle Airport to Disneyland Paris, particularly if you don’t want to think about trains or shuttle times after your flight.
We’ve used Prestige Transfer for this journey and found the whole process really easy. Your flight is tracked, so the driver knows if you’re delayed, and we could contact our driver directly if needed. Once we’d collected our luggage, we met our driver and headed straight to our hotel.
The vehicle was clean and spacious, with plenty of room for our luggage and TVs in the back for children.

The biggest advantage is that it’s completely door-to-door. There’s no carrying suitcases through stations or worrying about getting through passport control in time for a train.
The downside is the price, particularly if you’re travelling solo or as a couple. However, families and larger groups should compare the total cost of each option, as splitting a private transfer between several people can make the price much more reasonable.
Would I use one again? Yes. If I wanted the easiest possible door-to-door journey, especially with lots of luggage, a private transfer would be high on my list.
🚄 TGV (High-Speed Train)
⏱ Journey Time: 10–12 minutes
💰 Cost: We paid €20 per person, one way – ➡️Book In Advance Here
🎯 Best For: Getting between CDG and Disneyland Paris as quickly as possible
The TGV is by far the fastest way to travel between Charles de Gaulle Airport and Disneyland Paris, taking around 10–12 minutes to reach Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy station, right outside the parks.
The downside is flexibility. TGV tickets include a seat reservation for a specific train, and they do check them. We once missed our booked TGV during peak season and every later train was sold out, so the money we’d spent on our tickets was wasted.
That’s why I’m cautious about using the TGV from CDG to Disneyland Paris. Flights can be delayed or changed, and passport control at CDG can take a long time, particularly the Under-12s queue.

Off-peak, you could try buying a ticket once you arrive, although availability isn’t guaranteed and last-minute prices can vary. During peak season, I’d either leave plenty of time between landing and your TGV, or choose a more flexible option.
It’s also fast rather than cheap. We paid around €20 each one way, which can add up for a family.
Would I use the TGV again? Yes, but only from Disneyland Paris to CDG. Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy is right outside the parks, so it’s a great way to maximise your final day before heading straight to the airport.
🚌 Magical Shuttle
⏱ Journey Time: 1–1.5 hours
💰 Cost: €140 return for a family of four (2 adults + 2 children) at full price – ➡️ Book Here
🎯 Best For: An easy, direct journey without paying for a private transfer
After finally trying the Magical Shuttle from CDG to Disneyland Paris, it’s now one of my top recommendations.
We used it when staying at Disney’s Sequoia Lodge, and it couldn’t have been easier. We followed the signs at CDG, our luggage went underneath the coach, and we were dropped directly at our hotel.
We actually just missed our shuttle, but the staff member contacted the driver and asked them to circle back and collect us rather than making us wait for the next one.
You don’t need to reserve a specific coach time. Magical Shuttle runs to a timetable, so you simply turn up for the departure you want. This makes it much more flexible if your flight is delayed or you’re stuck at passport control.

A return currently costs €140 for two adults and two children at full price, with promotional fares often available.
One thing to consider is the return journey. Traffic heading back to CDG can add quite a bit of time, as we found ourselves, so leave plenty of time for the drive and passport control before your flight.
If you want to maximise your final park day, I’d consider Magical Shuttle from CDG to Disney and the TGV back to the airport. You get the flexibility and easy luggage situation when you land, followed by the 10-minute TGV when you’re in control of your departure time.
Would I use it again? Absolutely. For an easy journey from CDG to a Disney Hotel, this would probably be my first choice.
🚘 Uber / Bolt
⏱ Journey Time: 40–60 minutes
💰 Cost: From €40-70 (standard) / €116 (van for 6 people)
🎯 Best For: App users who want up-front pricing and flexibility
Uber and Bolt are useful if you want a direct journey from CDG to Disneyland Paris without booking a transfer in advance. You can wait until you’ve collected your luggage and cleared passport control before ordering your car.
We’ve used Bolt ourselves after landing at CDG, and this flexibility was its biggest advantage. On one trip, we spent over an hour in the Under-12s passport control queue, but because we hadn’t booked our Bolt yet, there was no transfer or train waiting for us.

Prices vary depending on demand, so I’d check both Uber and Bolt before booking. At busy times, the price can jump considerably, particularly if you need a larger vehicle.
Would I use Uber or Bolt again? Yes. It’s a good middle ground when you want a direct journey but don’t want to commit to a particular departure time before you’ve even landed.
🚇 RER Train (RER B + RER A)
⏱ Journey Time: Around 1 hour 30 minutes
💰 Cost: We paid €14 each from CDG into Paris, plus €2 for a Navigo Easy card
🎯 Best For: Budget travellers and anyone who wants to stop in Paris along the way
The RER costs €14 from Charles de Gaulle Airport to Disneyland Paris, making it one of the cheapest ways to make the journey.
Take the RER B from CDG to Châtelet–Les Halles, then change onto the RER A towards Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy. The change is much easier than it might look on the map, and Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy is the final stop.
I’d recommend downloading the Île-de-France Mobilités or Bonjour RATP app before you travel so you can buy your airport ticket on your phone. Otherwise, you can load it onto a physical Navigo Easy card, which costs an additional €2.

Callum and I almost always squeeze some time in Paris into our Disney trips, so we’ll sometimes use the RER journey to our advantage and stop in central Paris before continuing to Disneyland Paris.
Just remember that if you leave the RER/Metro network to explore Paris, your €14 airport ticket won’t then cover the later journey to Disney. You’ll need a new ticket for €2,50 when you continue to Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy.
Would I use the RER again? Absolutely. It’s cheap, straightforward and particularly useful if we want to fit some time in Paris into the journey.
Which Is the Best Way to Get From CDG to Disneyland Paris?
After trying all five options, I’d choose the Magical Shuttle for most journeys from CDG to a Disney Hotel. It’s easy, direct and gives you more flexibility if your flight is delayed.
If speed matters most, the TGV is unbeatable, while the RER is a good budget option or works well if you want to stop in Paris.
For our next trip, I’d happily take the Magical Shuttle to Disney and the TGV back to CDG. For me, that gives you the best of both options.

Don’t confuse this with the free Disneyland Paris hotel shuttles, which run between most Disney Hotels and the parks.

The RER is one of the cheapest options at €14 per adult each way. Take the RER B from Charles de Gaulle to Châtelet–Les Halles, then change onto the RER A to Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy.

Yes. The TGV runs directly from Charles de Gaulle Airport to Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy, right outside Disneyland Paris.

After trying them all, my biggest advice is to pick what suits your group, your luggage and, most importantly, your energy levels after a flight.
