19+ Disneyland Paris Photo Spots You’ll Love
I probably have more photos from Disneyland Paris than any other trip we’ve taken.
Half of them are just me trying to get the castle from a new angle. But some of my favourite shots aren’t even in front of the castle at all.
I’ve tested just about every photo angle you can think of, and there are some real hidden gems around the parks. No queues, no fancy camera needed—just good spots you can walk right up to and snap away.

Short on Time? Here’s What to Know
- Avoiding crowds in your shot? Head to quieter corners like the left of the castle, Discovery Arcade, or Ratatouille courtyard. Or send me your photo and I’ll try editing the background out for you.
- Best lighting? Go early in the morning or just before sunset. Extra Magic Time is a game-changer if you’ve got it.
- Tripods, cameras and selfie sticks? Small handheld tripods are fine, but selfie sticks and full-size DSLRs with zoom lenses aren’t allowed inside the parks. You can check what else is restricted in my Disneyland Paris bag policy guide.
- Can PhotoPass staff use your phone? They can! Just ask nicely and they’ll usually take one for you. This applies in Character Meets too!
The Best Photo Spots Around Disneyland Paris
There’s no shortage of photo spots at Disneyland Paris, but these are some of my go-to favourites.
1. Toy Story Walls
If you walk past RC Racer and head up towards Cars Road Trip in Walt Disney Studios, you’ll spot two colourful Toy Story walls—one on either side of the path.
One’s perfect for pretending you’ve got Buzz Lightyear wings.

The other has the famous “The Claaawww” scene from the aliens.
It’s a great little photo stop, especially if you’re DisneyBounding as a Toy Story character. Easy to get to and hardly ever busy.
2. To the Left of the Castle
As you walk up Main Street towards the castle, take the left path just before you reach the bridge (towards Adventureland).
It curves around the side of the castle and gives you a great side-angle shot that’s often much quieter than the front.

Keep walking and you’ll also find the entrance to La Tanière du Dragon—one of Disneyland Paris’ coolest secrets.
We took this photo at 2pm on a sold-out Saturday and, as you can see, there’s no one in the photo.
3. Walking Down the Left of the Disneyland Hotel
You can get a pretty nice shot from near the fountains with the Disneyland Hotel in the background. But there’s also another lovely spot a couple seconds walk away…
As you walk down the left-hand side of the Disneyland Hotel towards the parks side gates, there’s a spot with a flower-filled background that works so well for a quick photo before the day kicks off.
It’s got that early-morning excitement feel, and the flowers change with the seasons so it always looks fresh. We took one here just before heading in, and it’s still one of my favourites.
If you turn around and face the other way, you can also get a very boujee action shot of walking under the archway of the hotel with that pastel pink background you see all over Instagram.
4. Right Down The Middle of Main Street U.S.A
Classic for a reason. A straight-down-the-middle Main Street shot with the castle in the background is a must-do at least once per trip.
But timing makes all the difference.

If you can, head there during Extra Magic Time or just before sunset when the light’s soft and the crowds have thinned out a bit.
It’s the kind of photo that always ends up framed on someone’s wall—even if you’ve taken the same one 12 times before.
5 . The Castle Bridge (Duh!)
A classic. I never said I wouldn’t mention the castle at least a few times.
This spot on the bridge is one of the best for getting a clean castle shot without the full Main Street crowd.

The light is especially nice in the late afternoon, and you get that perfect framing looking either toward the castle or back down Main Street.
If you take a photo here and end up with a ton of people in the background, feel free to email it through to georgia@firststepeurope.com and I’ll try and edit them out for you—for free.
6. In Front of PanoraMagique
If you head over to Lake Disney, there’s a great photo spot right in front of the PanoraMagique balloon.
You get the lake, the colourful balloon, and the Disneyland hotels in the background all in one shot.

We took ours around 7:30am on a May morning as the light was coming in for magic hour, and the lighting was chef’s kiss.
It’s quieter over here too, so it’s ideal if you want a calm moment before the parks open.
7. The Disneyland Park Arcades (Liberty and Discovery)
A lot of people don’t realise there are two beautiful arcades running along either side of Main Street—Liberty Arcade on the left, and Discovery Arcade on the right.
Both are covered walkways with gorgeous lighting, vintage-style signs, and way fewer crowds than the street outside.
They’re ideal for a quick photo break if the weather isn’t playing ball, and you’ll often get them all to yourself if you pop in during parades or early in the day.
Bonus: they make a lovely shortcut if Main Street is packed.
8. “Enjoy Your Day” Sign
Just outside the entrance to Discovery Arcade, if you face towards the castle, you’ll find a really lovely area with a fountain in the middle.

It doesn’t have the castle in the background, but it makes for a lovely keepsake photo—sit on the edge with your family and ask a passer-by to snap one for you.
9. Entrance to Studio 1
Right at the entrance to Studio 1 in Walt Disney Studios, there’s a little bronze statue you can stand next to for a photo with the full Studio 1 building in the background.

It’s a nice way to mark the start of your day in the Studios, and the art deco-style entrance gives the photo a bit of old-Hollywood flair.
10. La Cabane des Robinson
If you’re up for a few steps, head to the top of La Cabane des Robinson.
The bridge section is a good photo spot, with greenery all around and a nice view across Adventureland.

There’s also a telescope up there that makes for a fun shot—ideal if you’re travelling with kids or just fancy something different to the usual castle angles.
It’s usually not too busy, and you can take your time without feeling rushed.
11. Cinderella’s Carriage
Tucked in a quiet corner near Auberge de Cendrillon in Fantasyland, Cinderella’s carriage is a really charming photo spot—and it’s usually surprisingly calm around here too.
It’s a great place to take five if the parks are feeling hectic, and the carriage makes for a really sweet photo, especially with little ones.

Right next to it, the archway beside the restaurant works well for a bit of an “action shot” as you walk through.
It feels like a little storybook moment and makes a nice change from more posed photos.
12. Dumbo the Flying Elephant
For this one, ask to sit in one of the elephants on the right-hand side of the ride.
Before you take off, have your friend or family member sit behind you and snap a quick photo.

You’ll be in Dumbo with the castle perfectly framed behind you.
My sister took this cute shot of us and honestly, it would make a great engagement photo if you angle it right.
13. Earl of Sandwich Terrace
Head out to the outdoor terrace at Earl of Sandwich in Disney Village and you’ll get a clear view across Lake Disney, with PanoraMagique and the Disneyland hotels in the background.

It’s a relaxed place to sit for a minute, grab a photo, and enjoy the view.
We’ve taken some really lovely pictures here, especially around sunset when the light reflects off the water.
14. Across from Animagique Theatre
This one’s a bit of a random find, but I love it.
Just across from Animagique Theatre in Walt Disney Studios, there’s a fake café setup that looks like a little Hollywood street.

If you line it up right, Tower of Terror looms over the top for a photo that looks much more dramatic than it should for something you didn’t queue for.
It’s usually pretty quiet too (especially after 3pm), so you can mess around with angles without people walking through.
15. Gateway Portal
Right near the entrance to Avengers Campus, there’s a big, sleek gateway that makes for a cool photo—especially if you’re into Marvel.

It’s modern, dramatic, and one of those spots that looks great on camera without needing much effort.
16. Ratatouille Courtyard
This little square outside the Ratatouille ride is one of the prettiest corners in the Studios. Between the fountain, the Parisian-style buildings, and the Bistro Chez Rémy signs, it’s basically begging to be photographed.
It looks amazing in the evening when the lights come on and everything reflects off the cobblestones- especially at Christmas!

You don’t need to pose—just walk across the courtyard or lean near one of the lampposts and you’ll get a photo that feels like you’re actually in Paris.
Kind of perfect if you’re wearing anything vaguely themed, too.
17. Inside The Castle
A lot of people walk straight through, but it’s worth heading upstairs inside the castle. The stained glass windows and tapestries are honestly beautiful, more so on a sunny day.
You can get some really nice photos inside with the light coming through the windows, or head outside onto the balcony for someone to take your photo from below.
It’s usually quieter up there too, even on busy days.
18. Excalibur Sword
You’ll find the famous sword in the stone just behind the castle as you walk up the bridge.
It’s a fun photo op—make sure to go fully dramatic and pretend you’re trying to pull it out.

Works just as well for kids or adults, and makes for a classic Disneyland Paris snap.
Every now and again the sword will actually come out, so keep your camera out just in case!
19. Alice’s Labyrinth Chairs
You’ll spot these oversized chairs outside the maze as you head up towards Casey Jr. They’re great for a silly photo.
Sit down, let your legs dangle, and it looks like you’ve completely shrunk.

Bonus points if you’re in Alice ears or anything Wonderland-themed.
If you do head into the maze, don’t miss the Queen of Hearts tower. You can climb to the top and grab a photo on the bridge leading into it which is lovely and colourful.
20. Main Street During Night-time Display
Main Street completely transforms during the night-time show. The castle’s lit up, projections run down the buildings, and everything just feels extra magical.
I got the sweetest photo of my sister and niece here—my niece was bundled up in my oversized shirt to keep warm and it’s still one of my favourite photos from the whole trip.

It can be a bit of a scramble between fireworks, but even if it’s a little blurry, it’ll still have that classic Disney magic.
We stood at the top of Main Street, in front of the Gazebo and had room to move, and still saw everything.
Final Thoughts
You don’t need a fancy camera or a perfect plan to come home with great Disneyland Paris photos.
If you’re aiming for that classic castle shot, or you’re just getting a cute family photo before heading into the park, I hope this list gives you a few new places to try.
And if you get a photo you love, feel free to tag me or email it over—I’d genuinely love to see it. I might even be able to help edit out a few background crowds for you.
