Disneyland Paris for Toy Story Fans: Everything You Can’t Miss
Toy Story was my favourite film growing up, so when I finally made it to Disneyland Paris…
…I was more excited than my niece—and she was practically bouncing off the walls.
I didn’t go in expecting loads of Toy Story stuff, but there’s actually a brilliant amount to enjoy. The rides are themed to perfection, the characters pop up in the most fun ways, and there’s even a cowboy-style hotel that feels like Woody himself decorated it.
If you love Toy Story as much as I do, this guide will show you exactly where to go, what to book, and how to make the most of it—from meet and greets to snack stops and a few brilliant photo spots you don’t want to miss.

🤠 Stay at Hotel Cheyenne
If you love Toy Story, Hotel Cheyenne is the one to book. It’s themed around Woody’s Wild West, with cowboy hats on the lamps, horseshoes on the carpet, and loads of fun little touches.
The theming’s well done without being over the top, and it’s usually one of the more affordable Disney hotels.

Park tickets are included if you book direct through Disneyland Paris, and you can add on a meal plan too. If you’re just after the room, Booking.com often has cheaper room-only deals.
It’s a 20-minute walk to the parks along the river or a quick ride on the free shuttle. Easy either way.
🎢 Toy Story Rides at Disneyland Paris
Toy Story Playland in Walt Disney Studios Park is where the real fun kicks off. Giant toys, oversized props, and three rides that make you feel like you’ve been shrunk down to join the gang.
RC Racer
A fast-paced coaster that whips back and forth on a giant U-shaped track. Great if you love a thrill ride.
Toy Soldiers Parachute Drop
A drop tower-style ride themed around the Green Army Men, with amazing views over the park. If you sit on Row 1, you can even see Frozen Land being built!
Slinky Dog Zigzag Spin
A gentle spinning ride that’s perfect for little ones—or a calmer moment between coasters.
Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast (Disneyland Park)
Over in Disneyland Park, this interactive ride lets you team up with Buzz to take down Zurg. You’ll be zapping targets from your very own space cruiser. This gets busy as its one of the most popular rides so try and get on it just before the fireworks.
👋 Meet Toy Story Characters
There’s a Toy Story character meet right next to Crush’s Coaster in Walt Disney Studios Park. When we went in June 2025, it was Woody and Jessie—and the theming around the queue made it extra fun to wait for.
You’ll need to book a time slot on the Disneyland Paris app once you’re in the park.

It’s usually listed under the “Meet Disney Characters” section and goes quickly, so keep an eye on it as soon as you arrive.
We’ve also bumped into the Green Army Men just wandering around the Studios. They’re brilliant for quick photos and always stop for a bit of fun if they see someone wearing Toy Story gear.
🍽️ Toy Story Snacks and Themed Eats
There’s no full-on Toy Story restaurant at Disneyland Paris, but you can still find plenty of fun touches if you know where to look.
Cowboy Cookout Barbecue in Frontierland fits the Woody theme perfectly, with big portions of ribs, grilled chicken, and corn on the cob served up in a Western-style barn.
Over in Walt Disney Studios Park, there are snack carts near Toy Story Playland where you can grab churros and ice cream between rides.

If you’re near Avengers Campus, check out the Ice Cream Creations truck next to Web Slinger—they’ve got a Sheriff Woody-themed dipped ice cream that is insanely good.
And don’t miss the Buzz Lightyear éclair if you see it at one of the bakery stands. It’s filled with raspberry and vanilla and looks just as amazing in photos as it tastes.
🎉 Spot the Toy Story Gang in the Parade
One of the easiest ways to see Buzz, Woody, and Jessie in action is during the Disney Stars on Parade at Disneyland Park.
They’ve got their own colourful float, complete with giant blocks and all the energy you’d expect from Andy’s toy box. Jessie was waving like mad when we saw her in June 2025, and my niece nearly exploded.
It’s a fun way to see the characters without queueing, especially if you’re short on time.
🕐 Check parade times in the app and try to grab a spot early—Main Street and Central Plaza fill up fast.
🛍️ Toy Story Souvenirs and Merch
If you’re looking to bring a bit of Andy’s gang home with you, there are plenty of spots around the resort to shop Toy Story goodies.
World of Disney in Disney Village is your best bet at the moment, especially with the Toy Story Playland boutique currently closed. You’ll find plushies, tees, ears, and loads of cute bits—and you don’t need a park ticket to shop there.
I picked up the nicest Toy Story fridge magnet from the Tower of Terror gift shop for €10 (of all places). It has a little photo slot, so I printed one at home and now it’s proudly on the fridge.
If you’re after something cheap but fun, keep an eye out for the Buzz Lightyear collector coin. You can find it in the shop next to Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast, sometimes in the Pirates of the Caribbean store, and even in the coin machines in Disney Village. A great little budget souvenir that fits in your pocket.
📸Best Toy Story Photo Spots
You don’t need a fancy camera or PhotoPass to get some great Toy Story-themed pictures—just keep your eyes peeled around the parks.
📍 Giant Buzz statue in Toy Story Playland
A must-do. He’s huge, heroic, and makes every photo feel instantly Disney.
📍 Toy Story Playland gates
Right near the entrance to the area (on way to Cars Road Trip), with bright paintings! Great for wide shots or group pics.
And if you’ve booked a character meet (like Jessie near Crush’s Coaster), there’s usually a PhotoPass photographer on hand to capture the moment. They’ll scan your card or app, and you can download the photos later.
They are also happy to just take the photo on your phone!
Go All-In on the Toy Story Theme!
If you’re up for going full Toy Story mode (highly recommend), there are some really fun ways to lean into it without spending a fortune.
👗 Dress the part
We Disney bounded as Bo Peep, Buzz, and the aliens last time, and it was such a hit. My entire outfit cost £10 on Vinted, and we brought ears and headbands from Shein that looked great in photos.
My sister wore Adidas Buzz Lightyear trainers and picked up the Woody ones for my niece to match—it was adorable. You don’t need a full costume, just a few themed touches go a long way.
If you’re bringing little ones, Amazon usually has comfy Toy Story outfits that are easy to travel with and don’t cost the earth.

🎀 Accessories make it
Toy Story Mickey ears or themed headbands are perfect for tying everything together. Pack them before your trip if you can—they’re much cheaper than buying in the parks.
📸 Make time for photos
The giant Buzz statue, entrance gates, and the meet-and-greet area are all great spots. We got some of our favourite family photos just messing around in Toy Story Playland.
Why It’s Worth It for Toy Story Fans
Toy Story Playland might not be huge, but it is its own proper land—and if you love the films, you’ll feel right at home the moment you walk in.
The theming is brilliant, the rides are fun, and there’s just something really joyful about spotting Buzz or Jessie in the park. It’s the kind of area I always end up spending more time in than I planned… and never regret it.
If Toy Story meant something to you growing up—or if you’ve got a little one who’s obsessed with it now—it’s 100% worth planning a few hours around.
I’ve done it, I’ll do it again, and honestly, I’m already planning what ears to wear next time.
