Disneyland Paris For Star Wars Fans (2025 Tips)
A galaxy not so far, far away…just across the Channel, actually!
Callum was more lightsabers than Lightning McQueen—so when I started pointing out all the Star Wars bits at Disneyland Paris, you can imagine his excitement.
We weren’t expecting much, but Disneyland Paris for Star Wars fans is actually brilliant.
There’s a proper rollercoaster, themed snacks, character meet-and-greets, and even a shop full of lightsabers. It’s not Galaxy’s Edge, but it’s still packed with great moments to be had.
I originally pulled this list together for Callum… and now I’m sharing it with you.

⏱️ Short on Time? Do This:
🎢 Ride Hyperspace Mountain and Star Tours
👋 Meet a Star Wars Character (varies, check the app)
🍔 Try the C-3PO burger, Grogu biscuit, and Darth Vader waffle
🍹 Pop up to Lounge Lightspeed (open ‘til 17 Sept)
🛍️ Hit Star Traders for a lightsaber or shoulder Buddy
👕 Disneybound like a Jedi (it’s allowed!)
🚀 Star Wars Rides at Disneyland Paris
If you’re planning a Star Wars-focused day, these two rides in Discoveryland are where to start. There aren’t loads, but what’s there is surprisingly well done.
🎢 Hyperspace Mountain
Classic Space Mountain, but with a full Star Wars makeover. You’ll launch straight into a Rebel Alliance mission, dodge TIE fighters, and hear that iconic soundtrack blaring the whole way through. It’s fast, it’s dark, and it actually feels like you’re flying through space.
💡Tip: Queue during the parade or late evening—it’s usually quieter. And if thrill rides are your thing, I’ve got a full guide to the fastest rides at Disneyland Paris you’ll want to bookmark.
🛰️ Star Tours: The Adventures Continue
This 3D motion simulator throws you into the middle of a very chaotic galactic journey. Each ride is slightly different thanks to the randomised scenes—you could end up on Tatooine one moment and face-to-face with Darth Vader the next.
It’s a great one for Star Wars fans, but also works well for older kids who want something exciting without going upside down.
💡Tip: Sit in the middle rows for the best screen view. And if you’re planning a trip with younger ones, this list of Disneyland Paris rides for kids will show you what may be more suitable for them.
🤝 Meet Star Wars Characters
Starport in Discoveryland usually has a Star Wars character meet-and-greet running—but the app doesn’t always say who’s appearing. One day it’s Darth Vader, the next it might be Chewie, Rey, or The Mandalorian (with Grogu in tow, if you’re lucky).
The queue works like a virtual line through the app, and it fills up fast. You’ll need to be quick when it opens—especially if it’s someone popular like Vader or Mando.

Make sure your park tickets are linked in the app ahead of time and turn on notifications. Also keep checking throughout the day—they sometimes add extra slots
It’s a bit of a guessing game, but also a fun one—and if you’re there during Lounge Lightspeed’s run, there’s a chance you’ll spot a familiar face up on the terrace too.
🍴 Star Wars Snacks at Disneyland Paris
There’s no full Star Wars restaurant (yet…), but there are some brilliant themed snacks (amongst the other amazing snacks at Disneyland Paris) dotted around Discoveryland.
A few are limited-time specials, so keep an eye out—you never know what might pop up when you’re refuelling between rides.
Here’s what we’ve seen recently:
🧠 Yoda Burger – bright green bun, surprisingly good, found at Cafe Hyperion
🍪 Grogu Biscuit – pistachio + chocolate-hazelnut, usually at Cool Station
🧇 Darth Vader Waffle – shaped like his helmet, served near Star Tours
🍫 C3PO Macaron – delicious lemon macaron with a printed face, also found at Cafe Hyperion
None of it’s overly fancy, but if you’re on a themed food mission, it’s a fun way to keep the Star Wars energy going without booking a table.
🛍️ Star Wars Shopping at Disneyland Paris
If you’re even slightly tempted by Star Wars merch, good luck walking past Star Traders without going in.
It’s right next to Hyperspace Mountain and basically full of stuff you don’t need but suddenly have to own—lightsabers, those magnetic shoulder buddies, Star Wars ears, all of it.
You can test the lightsabers, try on the ears, and easily lose track of time (and euros). We’ve left with everything from pins to a full set of droid socks—no regrets.

If you’re doing your shopping at the end of the day, the World of Disney store in Disney Village usually has a few Star Wars bits too. Handy if you don’t want to carry things around all day.
💡 Tip: Go for pins, patches, or keyrings if you’re trying to keep costs down—they’re cheaper and take up zero space in your case.
🍹 Lounge Lightspeed: Limited-Time Star Wars Spot
Disneyland Paris has launched a brand-new Star Wars experience for summer 2025, and it’s a good one.
Lounge Lightspeed is a seasonal outdoor terrace tucked above Starport in Discoveryland. You can grab a drink, take in the view of the X-wing, and maybe even spot a familiar face while you’re at it.

It’s not every day you get to sip a Coke next to a spaceship.
There’s no reservation needed, so you can just head up whenever it’s open and take a break from the chaos below. It’s running until 17 September 2025, so if you’re visiting this summer, make sure you check it out.
🛏️ Where to Stay With a Futuristic Feel
There are two great options for a space-y stay at Disneyland Paris.
Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel
It’s not Star Wars-themed, but it’s probably the closest you’ll get at Disneyland Paris.
The design of the Marvel Hotel is sleek, modern, and feels more sci-fi than fairy tale—which works perfectly if you’re more into droids than princesses. And being just a short walk from the parks means less faffing about in the morning.

Ki Space Hotel & Spa
If you’re staying off-site, Ki Space is your best shout for something that feels a bit more starship than fairy tale.
The rooms are minimalist and spacious, it’s just a short drive to the parks, and there’s even a spa—because let’s be honest, a full day of fighting the dark side is exhausting.
👕 A Quick Note on Disneybounding
If you want to lean into the Star Wars theme a bit, Disneybounding is an easy way to do it. Earthy tones, boots, robes, or even a simple t-shirt with a subtle design all work well—and it’s completely allowed for adults. Great for photos and doesn’t feel like you’re wearing a costume around the parks.
Need ideas that won’t cost a fortune? I’ve got a whole post on how to Disneybound on a budget with tips that actually work.
🌌 Final Thoughts: Is Disneyland Paris Worth It for Star Wars Fans?
If someone in your group is into Star Wars—even just a bit—there’s more than enough at Disneyland Paris for Star Wars fans to keep them happy.
The rides are well done, the theming in Discoveryland holds up, and there are just enough little extras to make it feel like a proper part of the trip.
You won’t spend your whole day chasing Star Wars stuff, but you can definitely build a fun, themed day around it.
We’ve done it—and would do it again.
